The problem

A logistics company had little visibility with students and graduates, who were its future talent pool and professional network.

What I did

I ran an online-to-offline campaign that tied PKT’s identity to students and graduates. It was built around the “Milo Van” idea, organic storytelling and video, with no paid promotion.

To turn that online interest into real relationships, I established the PKT Tour in 2014: a paid visit programme that opens PKT’s doors to corporate groups and to university and polytechnic students. The tour still runs today and has welcomed more than 25,000 visitors. Each visit gives an institution a first-hand look at a modern logistics operation, and gives PKT a natural way to start a conversation with its leadership.

The result

  • 60,000 organic Facebook likes by 2015, from a starting point of 100+. The page has since grown to 110,000+ followers.
  • The PKT Tour, running since 2014, with more than 25,000 visitors so far.
  • MOUs with local universities and polytechnics, with relationships opened through the PKT Tour, strengthening the reputation of the company and its CEO.
  • New business opportunities from students who went on to become working professionals, including participation in MOHE’s CEO Faculty Programme.
